ICMol takes part in Science for Industry from the SOMMa alliance stand...

The Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol) of the Universitat de València, a research centre accredited with the María de Maeztu Seal of Excellence, has participated in the international event Science for Industry (S4i), one of Europe’s leading forums for promoting knowledge transfer and innovation based on Deep Science.

ICMol’s participation took place at the stand of the SOMMa alliance, which brings together Severo Ochoa Centres and María de Maeztu Units of Excellence. This shared space showcased the scientific and technological potential of Spain’s public research system and fostered interactions with industry, innovation agents and investment stakeholders.

Held annually in Madrid, Science for Industry connects universities and research centres with major industrial players and specialised investment funds, aiming to bridge frontier research with the productive sector and facilitate the translation of scientific results into market-ready solutions.

Representing ICMol’s technology transfer area, Antonio Alberola and Carmen Martínez López attended the event, taking part in activities focused on strengthening the open innovation ecosystem and establishing strategic links between science and industry.

Through this participation, ICMol reinforces its commitment to knowledge transfer, the valorisation of research outcomes, and its active role within national and international networks of scientific excellence.
