The Institute for Molecular Science (ICMol), a research centre of the Universitat de València, took part in the 14th Biomedical Research Congress (CIB 2026), a scientific and outreach event aimed at biomedical sciences students, held on 11–13 February in a hybrid format combining in-person sessions at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry and the Burjassot Campus with online activities via Microsoft Teams.

Organised by university students, the congress serves as a meeting point for science, biomedical research and critical thinking, with the aim of complementing academic training through lectures, round tables, workshops and science communication activities.

The programme also included poster competitions, oral presentations, science communication activities and a scientific art contest, all designed to encourage active student participation in research and science outreach.

In this edition, the Technology Transfer Area of the Institute for Molecular Science participated in the congress through a dedicated session focused on knowledge transfer, highlighting the role of public research in generating innovation and strengthening its connection with society. Antonio Alberola, head of the transfer area, represented ICMol at the event.

Through its participation in this meeting, the Institute for Molecular Science reinforces its commitment to supporting new generations of researchers and promoting science communication and knowledge transfer as key pillars of research activity.
