The Institute of Molecular Science (ICMol) proudly announces the approval of the VALCOOKOIL project, spearheaded by the MUPOMAT - Multifunctional Porous Materials group, under the call by the Valencian Innovation Agency (AVI). This ambitious project, identified as INNEST/2024/495, is framed by the motto: "For a circular and sustainable economy: reuse and valorization of used frying oils."
The primary objective of VALCOOKOIL is to develop an innovative system for the recovery, purification, and valorization of used frying oils (ROs), transforming them into high-value raw materials for the production of detergents. This approach aligns with the principles of circular economy and sustainability, offering solutions to repurpose materials traditionally considered as waste.
